Released in 2004, Outrun 2 is the sequel to the 1986 Outrun. The game builds on what the original did so well, allow you to drive at high speeds, execute awesome drifts and impress the lovely lady sat by your side.

Courtesy of an official Ferrari license, the 8 cars in this game are based on thier real life counterparts and all have different handling characteristics. Outrun 2 offers 4 difficulty levels ranging from Novice to Expert.

Three game modes are available in Outrun 2:
Outrun Mode:
essentiallly the same gameplay as the original Outrun. Players drive along a route of 5 of the 15 available courses. After each checkpoint the player is given a little extra time, the aim being to reach the end before the time runs out.

Heart Attack Mode:
This is an open-ended course, still with a time limit, but instead players must do what thier sweetheart asks of them. This can include huge drifting, dodging traffic and overtaking.

Time Attack Mode:
Players race against the clock to set the best times possible.

The twin 29" monitors display vivid colours to brilliantly render the effects and 3-D scenery that add to the realism of the game.

The sound track is even better than the original with more choices for the players as well as the original memorable soundtracks.
