Q. How does the GS Arcade Box actually work?
A. Inside the small control box is a printed circuit board (PCB) that acts and behaves like a normal keyboard. In fact, when you connect it to a PC, your computer thinks that you are connecting a proper keyboard. When your connected buttons and joysticks are activated, keypress signals are sent to your computer, just as if you were pressing a key. MameT then acts on these keypress signals because MameT allows you to play the games with a standard keyboard.

Q. Does the GS Arcade Box work with other emulators/games?
A. YES! The controller will work with any PC game that accepts keystrokes from a keyboard.

Q. I am not very good at DIY. Will it be difficult for me to connect everything?
A. Not at all. The device comes as a complete unit. There is no wire stripping, crimping or soldering involved. Once you have mounted the device inside your cabinet and connected the joysticks and buttons, it is simply a case of connecting the other end to the PS2 port on the back of your PC. Your computer will recognise it immediately. An easy to follow installation guide is also included with the kit.

Q. If the controller connects to the PS2 port, how can I also connect a keyboard at the same time? A. Connect a USB keyboard in a spare USB port.

Q. I use a "front end" for MameT Can I use the controller to select the games without using a keyboard?
A. YES! The controller was designed with this in mind. The P1 joystick sends "cursor" signals to your PC so that you can easily move up and down a menu. The P1 Fire button 1 also sends an "enter key" signal to your PC so that you can select the game that you want to play. We have also included extra inputs so that you can pause the game, quit a game and even access and make alterations in the MameT config menu * *(2 Player version only)
